IMI opens the doors to a brand-new office in Linköping

It’s been a long time coming, but surely worth the wait. This spring we finally opened up the doors to our newly renovated office in Linköping. The old office was a great place to work, but it was starting to get a little cramped and now we have all the room we need – at least for now.

Linköping has been the base of IMI and where we opened up our first office. We’ve been sitting in the same office space since 2005, and since we’ve been growing fast, we took our chance to renovate and go all in with our new and extended office space.

We wanted a space that feels like it was made for us: one that can grow with us as we continue to expand IMI in the future. We wanted a place where people can come together and be inspired by each other, but also enjoy their own space when they need it.

A home away from home

The vision we had for our new office was to open up and create a co-working-inspired space where everyone could work and feel more relaxed while being productive. Our interior designer Cissi Franzén brought our vision to life beyond our expectations.

We wanted an open space with a focus on collaboration, so she created an environment where employees are encouraged to sit together in a common area and collaborate on projects together. We also wanted the office to feel more like a living room than an office, which is why she incorporated lots of natural materials into the design and added pops of color throughout the space.

Today we are 56 people in our Linköping office, with “dedicated spaces” for up to 72 employees. Let’s see how long we’ll be able to sit in these spaces before we need to expand even further, with the rate at that we are growing.
