Last year’s award went to Ahlsell, and this year’s recognition reflects the breadth of industries where strong supply chain innovation is happening across Sweden.
Congratulations to Max Burgers, a well-deserved winner of the IMI Supply Chain Solutions Award 2026!
MAX Burgers was founded in Gällivare in 1968 by Curt Bergfors and Britta Fredriksson and has since grown from a small grill kiosk in northern Sweden to an international chain with restaurants in Sweden, Poland, Norway and Denmark. The company’s ambition is to become the world’s best burger chain by serving the most delicious burgers in a good and responsible way. Sustainability is a natural part of the business, and as the world’s first restaurant chain, MAX began climate‑labelling its menu as early as 2008. Since 2006, the Fair Distribution Foundation has allocated 7–10 percent of MAX’s annual net profit to poverty alleviation.
