Eliminate time-consuming manual handling and minimize billing errors

As the company expanded and its customer base grew, Vätterleden Logistik
realised they lacked control over their freight invoices. The previous manual
processes were time-consuming and prone to errors during cost re-invoicing.
”We used to print out all the invoices and manually sum them up, which often led to
mistakes,” says Marcus Taube, System Administrator at Vätterleden Logistik.

Automate freight management with IMI’s FCM solution

To address these challenges, Vätterleden Logistik implemented IMI’s Freight Cost Management (FCM) solution in autumn 2024. The aim was to automate and streamline freight management while gaining better control over freight costs. Following a market analysis, they identified IMI’s FCM as the most comprehensive solution for their needs.

Automated and streamlined cost re-invoicing – By automating the reinvoicing of freight costs, Vätterleden Logistik has reduced manual workload and optimised processes, saving time and minimising errors.
Enhanced control over freight costs – The FCM solution has provided greater control over freight costs and delivered clearer insights into invoicing, facilitating more efficient cost tracking and planning.
Improved liquidity – Transitioning from monthly to weekly freight invoicing has improved Vätterleden Logistik’s liquidity and provided better financial control with clearer insights into cash flow.

Reduced manual handling and increased scalability

Since implementing FCM, Vätterleden Logistik has significantly reduced manual handling and gained much better control over their freight cost re-invoicing. The company plans to extend the FCM solution to its sister companies and utilise additional modules to further optimise operations. ”After a smooth introduction, FCM has proven to be very user-friendly and efficient. We look forward to continuing to benefit from the system’s advantages,” concludes Roger Johansson.
