Apotek Hjärtat partnered with IMI in 2011 to build its own distribution operation with the purpose to take control of the supply chain and serve a rapidly growing pharmacy retail operation. In 2025, Apotek Hjärtat, chose to expand the partnership with IMI by implementing our store operations platform as a tool in the pharmacies to optimize everything from goods receipt and inventory management to product administration, e-commerce integration, picking and packing, as well as monitoring and reporting. The platform also offers mobile support, planning functions, and powerful analytics tools.

Using IMI’s order and inventory management system as the backbone for purchasing, inventory planning and order processing, and partnering with leading specialists for the retail store operation, warehousing and transportation, Apotek Hjärtat has established a dynamic best-of-breed system platform that positions the company as one of the strongest players on the Swedish market, now operating around 400 pharmacies with more than 4000 employees.
