Apotek Hjärtat was formed 2011 and partnered with IMI to build its own distribution operation with the purpose to take control of the supply chain and serve a rapidly growing pharmacy retail operation. This included developing supplier relationships with message-based integration of orders, delivery confirmations and invoices.

Using IMI’s order and inventory management system as the backbone for purchasing, inventory planning and order processing, and partnering with leading specialists for the retail store operation, warehousing and transportation, Apotek Hjärtat has established a dynamic best-of-breed system platform that positions the company as one of the strongest players on the Swedish market, now operating around 400 pharmacies with more than 4000 employees.
