Kid and Hemtex - Selects IMI’s warehouse and delivery management system for optimized logistics

The systems are fully operational following the centralization of Kid and Hemtex’s warehouse operations to Viared, outside Borås. As part of this transition, the warehouse operations for its sister company, Kid Interiør—Norway’s equivalent to Hemtex with 158 stores—have also moved to the Viared facility. This co-location reflects the company’s commitment to delivering excellent customer service while optimizing logistics processes across the Kid Group. By leveraging IMI’s solutions, Kid and Hemtex aim to strengthen their position as the leading Nordic retail chain for home textiles and interior. In total, Kid ASA operates approximately 280 stores across Norway, Sweden, Estonia, and Finland.

IMI’s warehouse management system provides functionality to streamline warehouse processes, including automated order handling, customs management, and intelligent route optimization within the warehouse. By integrating IMI’s WMS into their operations, Kid and Hemtex achieve significant improvements in warehouse productivity.

In addition to the warehouse management system, Kid and Hemtex have also implemented IMI’s delivery management system. With an extensive network of connected carriers and features like digital customs handling, the system enables reliable and efficient multi carrier parcel management, ultimately enhancing the customer experience.
