Successful Go-Live For Albert Heijn With IMI WMS 8.1

We are happy to announce a successful upgrade and go-live at Albert Heijn, market leader in grocery retail in the Netherlands. On August 30, the National Distribution Centre in Geldermalsen went live with all operations, and the production performance has been solid over the last couple of weeks. The solution is deployed in Albert Heijn’s Azure private cloud to support a close to 24×7 operation. The project was executed as planned despite the current COVID-19 travel restrictions, instead using a remote collaboration model that proved to be working really well.

Albert Heijn is part of retail giant Ahold Delhaize and has been running IMI WMS for its central warehouse and distribution center operations since 2002. The other four regional DC’s of Albert Heijn will follow during the fall, and will be in production before the Christmas season. IMI WMS 8.1 is an important step forward for the business, both in functionality and technology.
