How Coop Estonia standardised logistics for 350+ stores

Coop in Estonia serves several different store brands with a total of over 350 retail stores. The wholesale and logistics operation use IMI’s order & inventory management system and WMS from IMI across its business for all inbound and outbound order processing, leveraging voice-picking in the warehouse operation.

The challenge

Coop needed to comply with local practices and manage the complexities of return flows, whilst also looking to standardise their commercial and logistics processes. Moving from paper-based operations to real-time warehouse management was also a significant step.

Solution

The wholesale and logistics operation uses IMI’s order management system and WMS from IMI across all inbound and outbound order processes, with voice-directed picking in the warehouse. The solution also includes integrated reverse logistics in close collaboration with the stores, as well as master data management and integration with customers’ POS systems.
