Apotek Hjärtat was formed 2011 and partnered with IMI to build its own distribution operation with the purpose to take control of the supply chain and serve a rapidly growing pharmacy retail operation. This included developing supplier relationships with message-based integration of orders, delivery confirmations and invoices.

Using IMI AOM™ as the backbone for purchasing, inventory planning and order processing, and partnering with leading specialists for the retail store operation, warehousing and transportation, Apotek Hjärtat has established a dynamic best-of-breed system platform that positions the company as one of the strongest players on the Swedish market, now operating around 400 pharmacies with more than 3000 employees.
